Bed hoists
Mobile hoist mobility aids are designed to assist the user to be easily and safely transferred with minimal struggle. Whether it’s helping them into a sitting position from a lying position, moving from the bed to a wheelchair, shower chair or chair, we will have something for you. All of our mobile patient hoists have been rigorously tested to the highest of quality, an important piece of manual handling equipment to assist users with limited mobility and the elderly. We also offer mobile hoists to make it easier to transfer someone from one room to another, without causing unnecessary discomfort or strain. A mobile hoist is not fixed in one place and can be moved to different rooms when needed. Using a hoist is much safer than being moved by a carer or occupational therapist, as there is much less risk of slipping or having a fall causing injury.
Comfortable Bed hoists
Patient transfer can be quite intrusive and uncomfortable for the user. It can be highly embarrassing and impactful on your self-esteem to be moved in your own home. It’s not a good feeling being handled by others, especially as many older people have sensitive skin and bruise easily. Using a hoist can make movement more comfortable and manageable for the user and the caregiver, though two carers rather than one carer is advised. Using a correctly sized sling can make being moved less intrusive and embarrassing. giving the user some dignity and self-esteem back. Ensure you have enough floor space and that the hoist you buy has the lifting capacity to act as a mobility aid for yourself or the patient. Since they are mobile hoists, they are not fixed to one location so can be used in any room.
