MOBILITY SCOOTERS BY BRAND
Mobility Scooter Accessories
Mobility scooters can impact your life enormously, from providing you with the freedom and independence to go wherever you want at any time, to making it easier to visit friends and family, or take trips. There’s a huge range of mobility scooters to choose from to suit your lifestyle, from compact designs that are best-suited as travel mobility scooters or road-legal mobility scooters which are ideal for urban settings and longer trips. At Keep Moving Care, we provide great value electric mobility scooters which are high-quality, so you can enjoy your independence at a more affordable price.
Used vs. New Scooters
When choosing a mobility scooter, should you choose new or used? There are benefits to both. With used mobility scooters, you benefit from free breakdown recovery in the West Sussex area, as well as a six months warranty that is extendable up to a year. All of our used mobility scooters come with a user manual so you can get to grips with using your scooter as soon as possible, plus a battery charger and a free crutch bag.
What’s more, we offer nationwide delivery, free of charge, for all of our scooters and can even arrange a free home demonstration for you so you can be confident using the scooter from day one. With a new mobility scooter, you’ll receive all of the above, but the scooter will be new and will automatically come with a 12-month warranty. However, the main benefit of shopping for a used mobility scooter over a new one is the price – used scooters are considerably cheaper, while still being high quality, so you get a great scooter at a more affordable price.
Which Mobility Scooter Is Best for You?
Purchasing a mobility scooter is a big investment and a practical one for those with limited mobility. Whether you need a folding, portable scooter suited for travel or a larger road scooter suited for road use and longer distances, choosing the right scooter for your needs is essential.
If you’d like help on choosing your scooter, give us a call to discuss your needs and we’ll suggest some suitable models.
Folding Mobility Scooters
Folding scooters feature automatic folding frames, so there’s no need for manual disassembly. These 4mph smaller scooters fold into a compact, easy-to-store size with the press of a button or click of a key fob making them perfect for use on public transport.
Travel Mobility Scooters
Travel mobility scooters can be manually dismantled into parts for easy storage and transportation in a car boot. Lightweight and portable, these 4mph small scooters are great for taking on holiday, whether in the UK or abroad, or for short trips to the shop.
Pavement Mobility Scooters
Pavement mobility scooters are generally larger scooters than travel and folding but also travel at 4mph. They offer larger batteries giving a longer travel range alongside many features such as suspension systems and padded seats for more comfortability when riding.
6-8mph Mobility Scooters
Road legal Class-3 mobility scooters offer more performance and are suited for long distances with a maximum speed of 8mph. Safety systems that comply with the British Government requirements include lights, mirrors and efficient braking systems making them suitable for road use. They don’t require a driving license though they must be registered with the DVLA with insurance being recommended.
Accessories
Whichever mobility scooter you choose, we have a range of accessories for weather protection or extra carrying capacity. On each model check out the accessories tab for any extras.
Insurance
Even the most cautious of drivers can have accidents when out and about, so it’s a good idea to insure your mobility scooter. All of our scooters can be insured with mobility scooter insurance policies that will protect your vehicle and give you peace of mind.
